After all these days, I am still amazed that the rescue op in an American city must be conducted as a wartime operation, with military cover for rescuers.

It's a REAL irritating, shocking wakeup call, isn't it, to the deeper, very real realities of our country, just under the surface??. A real powderkeg.

If the islamofascists decided to suitcase nuke D.C., NYC, Chicago, or let sarin go in the Boston subway, or hit our ports, which one of us on FR can say with confidence we will have a united, cooperative citizenship in major cities under attack? We cannot say it. It is a terrible vulnerbility, and an internal security risk, of the highest priority to solve.

I am too, but then I look at the absolute lack of leadership from the mayor of NO, the governor of Louisiana, and the political correctness of the MSM.

This is a HUGE disaster in terms of scope and cost. FEMA, National Guard, Red Cross, Salvation Army have to mobilize and those imcompetent leaders have to actually exercise leadership skills while relief organizations prepare.
