Why didn't he bring them the water? Freepers on here have been talking about how he was on the ramp for five days (impossible) and making him out to be a super hero (not in my book).

If he was able to leave the ramp, why couldn't the people leave the ramp as well?

Best I can figure, the media has rights to go through checkpoints. The masses are denied passage.

Not sure if that's true, but there are a number of stories of that nature - groups of people not being permitted to "roam," if you will.

For the reason that Fox had a single chopper for him (that's my *assumption*) and/or a boat to ferry him across from the ramp to the Dome, but there wasn't helicopter or boat transport in place for hundreds or thousands of others...and there was 5 feet of water between them and the Dome.
