Why is everything about Global Warming? Is that the mantra for '06? What about China and India and Global Warming?

It's the funniest thing I've read in days and days. The only thing better would be to see it on video.

Is it Amanpour? The war whore?

Yes the un-American war whore, who said people all over the world are watching this and she can't believe this is America. I say to her "get out and stay out!"

For those who may not yet have seen the post and might have known him, FReeper Mustang passed away on Friday.

From his profile page:

Retired Lieutenant Commander, United States Navy, 26 years Active Duty. Vietnam Veteran. Enlisted in 1967 as an E-1, went up through the Enlisted ranks, completed OCS, and retired as an Officer (O-4), that's where the handle "Mustang" comes from.
Proud to be among the original members of the Florida Free Republic Chapter...

Thread, posted by his son, is here.

She hates this country. Send her back to England. Don't they have bombers they are looking for there?

I think she normally lives in London with Jamie & their child - I don't think she's a US citizen - she's from Iran

Yes, I was in Jackson for the Easter flood of 1979 -- the water began rising on April 15. My husband (to whom I was not married at the time) got 8 feet of water in his house. I lived in an apartment on the second floor (Canton Road Manor). The water got about 6 feet deep on the first floor and I had to live with my parents for about 6 months until they got everything cleaned up and repaired.

*** Taylor is one of thousands of evacuees in Central Louisiana who are considering a new life here***

THIS is why the Black Caucus is going Bananas..

They KNOW this is going to cost the DEMS seats, and they will use hook or crook to try and save them...

Watch for legislation to try and save these seats for DEMS...

CNN frontpage article says:

Police shot and killed at least five people Sunday after gunmen opened fire on contractors crossing a bridge to make levee repairs, The Associated Press reported.

Deputy Police Chief W.J. Riley told AP that police shot at eight people who had guns, killing five or six.

The Army Corps of Engineers told AP that 14 contractors escorted by police were fired upon while crossing the Danziger Bridge, which spans a canal connecting Lake Pontchartrain and the Mississippi River.

Corps spokesman John Hall told AP the contractors were on their way to launch barges into Lake Pontchartrain to help fix a breech in the 17th Street Canal.

Initial AP reports had wrongly indicated that the contractors themselves were shot by police; no other details were immediately available.

Who knows what his ulterior motives are. What industries moved into the England Air Park? Does he have some hair brained idea to set up shop there so he can get his hands in as many cookie jars as possible?

I went to Louisiana College for a year and loved living there. I have also lived in NO area so I would imagine it will be an interesting adjustment.

We are chock a block full here too. I do know that quite a few have already found work and housing here. Every spare space is taken. My sister said that they sold 150 houses in Lafayette in the last couple of days. Not everybody in NO is dirt poor or on welfare. We have just been shown the inner city population.
