Has anyone heard from the Freeper who had a friend that was going to fly onto the levee and rescue his Fatherinlaw?
30,000 people is what he is saying, but he is also saying it's 6 days after the storm...I am tired of hearing how help wasn't there on time. Katrina hit Monday, even the media said they dodged the bullet. Floods hit Tuesday! This morning (Friday) caravans of help were coming in. Not enough credit is being given to these organizations coming in to help
geez louise... didn't ANYONE leave that town? (I know a lot did.. it just seems SO amazing that so many keep showing up...)
...and lots of dead bodies inside...
That she is incompetent and blew it!
they have food and water, Karl posted pictures of it earlier. they need evac.
That convention center is ready to explode. I'd hate to be there after dark tonight.
If there is a riot there, that Police captain will be one who is at fault for inciting it. He and Geraldo.
Irresponsible producing O'R
Reporting location and how many people, and their conditions, is actually a service thatteh media should have been providing in lieu of fomenting second-guessing.
Did the police cheif say they had held the city together for 6 days and they couldn't do it much longer?
If so, Lott sounded good, held his own, and then some.
Did you catch how AS started the interview:
There is *nothing* happening in Waveland per Anderson.
Later, when Lott [who lost his house in Pascagoula] says that volunteers with a tractor and a bob cat showed up from Florida, cleaning a street, helping later a lady out of her home, etc. That's who's helping.
Anderson concluded with, yes, that's happening on every block in Waveland, too.
It is still light there - 7:15
No kidding! I'm beginning to wonder too if ANYONE left.
I'm also beginning to feel differently than I did at the beginning of all this. Now I'm p.o'd at the idiots that stayed and now are screaming about no rescue.
It wouldn't be dark in N.O. It's not dark in Ohio. Just getting that way.
I think OR is LIVE tonight, look at the upper left hand corner of the screen.
It maybe dark in CT but I believe it's still light in New Orleans.
Well we've known for days now. LOL
