I just heard a correspondent on CNN Headline News say wrt the relief "would help have come sooner if they (N.O. residents) had voted more often or differently".

I'm counting on the fuel coming back shortly. I plan to sit it out for the next two days. The lines today are worse than they've been all week and the violence in the gas lines is escalating here (central Miss.).

Ever seen the Dallas passenger terminal? It's pathetically small. They typically get about 100 people in or out per day on Amtrak. The commuters are a different matter, but they're not going into the terminal building.
