It is sad, I know. I grew up in Alabama. We were not a rich family in $$$ by no means. I was at least fed, clean, had clothes, a home, but we were not rich or rolling in money. My dad worked. My mom raised 4 kids at home. We were all made to go to school. My mother told us we could never quit school, that we all were going to get an education. When I left home at 18 and joined the Army, my father told me my life was now my own, that I was responsible for it, that I could make or break it myself, it was in my hands. He told me I had to find a skill that I could use and sell to employers or I could sit on my butt and be a bum. I found the skill. All four of us made much larger paydays than my dad did. We all made a good life for ourselves and families. We were not rich, but much better off. We all enjoy a good life. It was all because my mother and father taught me right from wrong, good from evil, to treat people as you want them to treat you, to get "book learning", to do what is right, be respectful of your elders, etc, etc. I am dependent on no government, no government official, nobody. I am responsible for myself. I am not letting the government hold a hand-out over my head to get me to beg or do as they want me to do. No, not in 1000000000000000000000 years!!

It's the family and we need to keep it.

Family is the bedrock of America.

Your parents did their job.
