Wow - thanks for this information!
Sorry, but I found these frequencies online so if you have a shortwave you can probably monitor some of this if your interested.
Also note:
The article says "Thanks to Pete, KZ1Z". Just to let you know THAT'S NOT ME. CanadianPete is somebody else(me!).

Question: Your comments are welcome.
What is your impression of WHO is coordinating the effort there in New Orleans?
Is it the military? who? the highest ranking officer? Is it FEMA?
A person will, obviously, emerge as the voice of leadership.
Who is it? Who will it be?

Thanks
>What is your impression of WHO is coordinating the effort there >in New Orleans?
Sorry, I couldn't tell you. I like to check out the RadioIntel website (www.radiointel.com) and they had a link to this guy ac6's website that had this note on it. So I thought freepers with shortwaves might be interested in monitoring what's happening. So I am posting this. I haven't actually been monitoring any myself but will try a bit. I up here in ontario so it might be iffy from here we'll see.
>Is it the military? who? the highest ranking officer? Is it >FEMA?
Again, I don't know.
>A person will, obviously, emerge as the voice of leadership.
Hopefully.
>Who is it? Who will it be?
Also for anybody with a shortwave radio. You need to have one with SSB capability. Hope that helps.
Bump.
Time for a new toy.
14.313, eh? Good luck hearing anything on the Official funny farm freq.
