ALL of those buses could have beein prepositioned on the elevated parking agarages at the Superdome, ready to go, far better protected than where they drowned.

Actually, a school bus wouldn't be able to be located to the top of a parking garage, with the typical 7' to 8' height restrictions of a multi-story garage.

I'm not sure if the Superdome garages are like this.

If we're talking about simply parking them on the plaza level, that would have been VERY doable.

In any event, the buses could have been used to evacuate BEFORE the hurricaines landfall.
