I was thinking about this early today. It was known that thousands of NO residents rely on public transportation, so why not alert municipal, regional and private bus lines/agencies to mobilize and double their efforts in evacuating those citizens? Mr. Mayor... ? Ms. Governor... ?

Jack Cafferty, a drunken commentator on CNN, just stated, "the war in Iraq is hampering the relief efforts in New Orleans".....he then asked, "is their any coincidence the same day the photo-ops are available for the President in the ravaged area is the same day the relief convoy arrives???"
Wolf Blitzer chimed in, "these are scenes reminiscent of Africa, not America"....Cafferty chimed in "embarassing"..
Of course they player NO Mayor No-balls comments yet no one has yet to broach the subject at how pathetically unprepared the city was...

One word, indecision.
Someone in government who can actually make a decision is a rare breed these days
My supervisor came up with this as the operating motto of indecisive "leaders";
Indecision = Flexibility

Don't you realize, Bush didn't issue orders to use local resources first. (insert favorite sarcasm emoticon)

Well, gee. I guess the idea of using buses didn't occur to the brainy liberals in New Orleans.
And neither did the idea of having an off-site staging area with boats, helicopters and supplies. No. Liberals are obviously such wonderful beings that basic civic responsibility is something they never think about. They do, however, love the perks of high office. And they certainly love to mewl and piss about how everyone else has let them down.

That's what I keep thinking. If the state and city officials had got off their a**es and provided the means, NO people wouldn't have been in such bad shape. The governing authorities in the city and the state had the revenue, the agencies, the transportation, etc.

He was too stupid and uninformed to comprehend the extent of the flooding in NO from a Cat 4 hurricane? Just my guess...

That stupid SOB is blasting the Federal Government but an article said the National Guard just got there too. Why don't blast that weeny lady Governor Mayor? She is in control of the National Guard.
All lines of government are at fault here I feel, but the city and state are the first line and all they did was sit back and whine for someone to do their damn job for them.
