Well, that's a start, but .075 on $6.00 a gallon....
Gas around here is $3.30ish. I live in a suburb of Atlanta.
I appreciate the tax cut.
$6.00 a gallon was one or two stations. Regular is averaging about $3.19 this morning.
Is 75 more cents worth in your tank pal.
That's what I was thinking. So basically, he rolled the prices back to ... this morning?
I can't believe all the states that have sales tax in addition to a "cents per gallon" tax on gasoline.

*This* is why Georgia prices are higher than Floridas nowadays.
It's also the government version of price gouging. They have no incentive to get the price per gallon lower when they are now profiting from the increased price thru a sales tax.
$6.00 was one or two places only in Georgia. One guy was reportedly charging $9.00 for premium. He is being fined $5,000 per occurance.
My husband talked to a few gas station owners while on a search for gas. It seems the supply is not in trouble. Regular deliveries are scheduled for today. Once again the media caused panic and there was a run on gas here.
Local news is reporting that this repeal of the tax would translate into a .15 cent decrease immediately in price.
Once supplies are replenished we should be at about $2.50.
Don't forget the 4% sales tax.
And it's not $6/gal, it's hovering around $3.15/gal. The $6 price was one station during the height of panic; nobody's paying $6/gal when it's $3.**/gal a block away.
