Well, in a state of emergency, anyone expending resources on rescuing animals when people are in danger should be prosecuted. A bit hysterical, I see. I can foresee circumstances where I would save my animals over some people. It's a decision I would have to live with.
I applaud the efforts of those rescuing pets. If I could be down there with them, I would be.
