" He can start by taking control of the state of Louisiana and the City of New Orleans out of the hands of the incompetent boobs who are supposedly running the show down there."

Gee, do you suppose the U.S. Constitution has anything to say about that?

All depends on who you ask, and whose family members are being robbed and raped

Well, the way I figure is that the Democrats wouldn't mind because they see the Constitution as a "living, breathing" document. There are just some things the designers of the Constitution never had in mind when they drafted it. Able-bodied people sitting in line waiting for help while the dead bodies of disabled elders lay beside them is just one of the scenarios I'm sure they weren't contemplating.

Of course, we could always appoint a committee to look into the situation and do an analysis, maybe Wolf Blitzer can do a few surveys to see what the rest of America thinks and while we're at it, check on the President's approval rating... And then maybe sometime after the Thanksgiving break, as the U.S. Navy lies in waiting, anchored off the coast of Louisiana, we can covene a hearing to determine who the framers of the constitution had in mind to carry any financial burdens for the soon-to-be launched rescue efforts which, if all goes well and they can schedule a vote on the floor, we could hopefully see a plan of action detailed and ready for the Presidents signature sometime before the Senate goes home for their Christmas break. How about that? Will that work for you?
