I can understand this totally. I can imagine what's going to happen, and mark my words, within two weeks... those folks in there are going to as unruly as they did NO. AD officials anticipate this, and I bet they want a small population to handle instead of a large.

IMHO...

They are out of food at the Astrodome. The floor of the Astrodome is totally covered with side-by-side cots. They are out of clean clothing.

One problem according to TV 13 is that food is only allowed to come in through Aramark.

Restaurants and other sources are offering food and it is being refused.

But not all was calm. One man was arrested after fighting over a cot. Two others were arrested after peeping into a women's shower.

This gang is going to wear out the welcome mat fairly soon.

"We've got sick people in here and this is how you treat us!" one man shouted. "Welcome to Houston! I hope a hurricane comes to Houston!"

******

Thank you for saving our lives, you *astards. /sarcasm

When you are told to LEAVE TOWN because a category 5 hurricane is headed your way maybe you should LISTEN and not tell people to F off.

Maybe if some of your closest friends hadn't stolen buses and beat you there you would have a place to stay.

They are taking them to other shelters. It's not like they don't have somewhere else to go.

Time to open up abandoned or current military bases in any state!

"said Red Cross spokeswoman Dana Allen. "We're doing the best we can."

Hey, the "best you can" is never going to cut it for some.

That's the crop you get when you sew entitlement from cradle to grave.

I think that the NO leisure class residents complain too much.

I saw this tonight. I thought the Astrodome was going to take 25,000 but I must be mistaken. Too much overload these past few days on the brain perhaps.

In a sense I can understand the uh refugees' exasperation especially those with children or elderly to care for and I think there but for the Grace of God. But now I am finding I am getting just a little tired of seeing them getting up in the faces of those trying to help. Maybe it's a case of 'No good deed goes unpunished'.

Passengers, some carrying babies, complained that they had made the long ride in unair-conditioned buses and were exhausted. One elderly man was placed in an ambulance and taken to a triage site.

Mind you, these are the dumbest of the dumb; or looters.
The dumbest of the dumb because they arrived at their sorry state due to total lack of effort, ambition, initiative nd work. But they have the liberal virus. They know their rights and demand comfort and air conditioned transportation.

108 buses are being allowed into the Astrodome now and more volunteers are being requested. They're going to let some into the Reliant Center.

I spoke with News 2 (NBC click2houston.com) about an hour ago and they are putting together an effort beginning at 11AM broadcast Friday (today) to hook up evacuee families up that arrive at the Astrodome with families in the area who will take them in.

We had our name on craigslist but it does little good as families don't have access to this info. We called News 2 to ask them if there is a way to coordinate willing families with evacuees and she told me they just so happened to be preparing for this effort starting at 11 AM.

Can you imagine the scene in the parking lot when Texans fans start showing up for games at Reliant Stadium adjacent to the Asrodome? Think it'll put a damper on all the tailgaters?
On the other hand they may get some good experience "running the gauntlet."
