I have never heard that MEMRI was unreliable. They are used by media of all political stripes. Are you confusing them with DEBKA?

Wouldn't a better plan have been to let Saddam do his stuff in Kuwait and SA, and then take him out. Then our 'allies' would have understood their place better.

Kuwait huh?

Yeah well you're welcome province #19.

Next time we'll just leave Saddam's boot on your throat.

No, that would have been a very expensive (lives, the Sauds would have paid the monetary tag) proposition. It would seem that we'd have the ability to pressure them on the production side. The Saudis claim to have the ability to produce 15 million barrels a day, for half a century. Kick it up a half million barrels tomorrow, with an indication that they'll meet demand. Ask Kuwait to do the same, let Chavez and Fox stew. The price stabilizes, then falls. I'd guess we still have the clout do that, even with the Iraq threat gone. Iran is still out there. We simply don't.

A population of only 2 million, better to add a territory.

If there is any difference between Islam and devil-worship, it escapes me.

When I see women go by in black burkas, it resembles the image of the angel of death.

And BTW, if they think we got slammed due to our evil ways, what the heck do they think is in store for them?

""But I began to ask myself: Doesn't this country [the U.S.] claim to aspire to establish justice, freedom, and equality amongst the people? Isn't this country claiming that everything it did in Afghanistan and Iraq was for truth and justice? How can it be that these American claims are untrue, when we see how good prevails in the streets of Afghanistan, and how it became an oasis of security with America's entrance there? How can these American claims in the matter of Iraq be untrue, when we see that Iraq has become the most tranquil and secure country in the world?"

I think this is the salient point of the article with the rest being more or less mumbo jumbo.

What did this retard say when Allah sent the tsunami to smite 200,000 Muslims?

My thought exactly. I'm sure he said Allah be praised in his wisdom by striking the Muslims. Maybe for not joining in the intifadah.

Kuwait has always been a sitting duck. Next time, we can say 'Stuff It'

Next time, let the Kuwaitis throw gold bricks at the invaders or run them over in their Bentleys.

First of al my warmest condolences to the people of America.

Hello, I am a Kuwaiti and a Muslim, but this stupied writer is not respected in Kuwait, nor he is an official, he is just !!!! He is Hated by everyone in here because of his extrem isalmic thoughts,we know that he is with al-Qaida, but the freedom of speech in here allows such morans to speak out freely. Our ministry of Interior has a very long history with this man, because of his extremism, i assure u in Kuwait we do not think in this kind of low-humanity way. WE respect every religion, and what happend in the gulf coast is a tragedy, may god bless you all.

We Kuwaitis are gratfull to what America did to us, and we do not link natural disasters to religion.

Christian, Islamic, Jewish and anyother extreme version of religion are the same, they just belive that they are the right and choosen ones.

Thank you for your post. It's good to know this man does not represent a popular opinion in Kuwait.

I share your view on religious extremism. I might add that all religions are enobled or disgraced by the quality of the adherents. The central message of all religions is simply to obey God and his laws. Some people interpret this to help their fellow man, some to hurt.
