Anybody watching Anderson Cooper now? He's losing it publicly, blasting Sen. Landrieu, saying she doesn't understand the pain of the New Orleans survivors. He seems traumatized by having witnessed a couple of dead bodies in the streets. Cooper seems like he's descending into madness.

Last time I looked Anderson and Shep were there, while we are glibly typing on our computers safe from harms way. Walk in my shoes, one might say.

Actually I thought that he was right on target. Landrieu was using the interview as a fluff piece for political grandstanding. He was right to call her on it.
Her comments were just as bad as the EPA administrator patting himself on the back yesterday for everyone working so hard to get the gasoline regulations scaled back. Whoop-de-freaking-do.

Landrieu was actually very good, unflappable to his hysteria, thanking Frist, Bush, etc., while he's screeching" who do you blame?," etc. Good for her. She is really shamless when the cameras are turned on. She is like Chuck Shumer in that regard.

I am shocked he is blasting Landrieu rather than Bush.He really gave her an earshot full for politicians giving unwarranted KUDOS to each other, when ppl still don't have WATER!

I loved it the other night when the cop ignored him.I saw that too. It was the perfect response by the cop - just ignore Shep and make him look like an idiot.

I turned on CNN earlier and Blitzer was breathless in his introduction of an Superdome/Astrodome refugee. The reporter started interviewing a black guy named Lorell. They set up the piece as an interview showing the anger and despair of those that were at the Superdome.
Ol' Lorell had a big smile on his face. He thanked God, President Bush and the mayor for getting him and his family out together and safe. The CNN reporter was stunned. Stike one for CNN. It was not going as planned so he asked the man to describe his trip ( "how violent was it???). Lorell praised the driver and said the ride was quite comfortable. He said if you waited in line and went through the correct procedures all was fine. It was those that tried to cheat the procedures that were having the problems. Strike two for CNN.
CNN reporter than asked Lorell how he will survive in the Astrodome for three or four months. What kind of misery and destitution were waiting for him. Lorell says with a big smile that he contacted family who were sending him money to go to South Carolina. He thanked God again again was on his way. Strike three CNN.
I tell you, I wish more people interviewed were like Lorell, my new hero.

Landrieu can't afford to be seen playing the blame game since her dad & family reaped all the $$$ from playing political games with the levees and using all the pump station contracts, etc., over the years, to build their family wealth and sustain their political power. That Cooper didn't already know this is a tribute to the stone ignorance of the MSM.
Simple unvarnished ignorance. Distorted by partisan bias. And compounded by sheer laziness.

It was disgusting. I watch the news for NEWS, not editorials from talking heads who think THEY are the news. I changed the channel until it was over...

Sometimes it is okay to get angry.
On 9/11, it was okay to be angry.
If you are not angry that there are nurses, doctors, and critically ill patients stranded in what was one of the major U.S. hospitals without electricity, without water and without food, then something is missing in your soul.

No... he was calling her on the fact that she was grandstanding -- talking about all they are "doing" to help, referring to getting together to pass a funding bill, as if it was some great wonderous feat.
