I kept telling everyone I talked to before the storm hit that the local government should get empty freight trains down there and load people up in box cars. They knew this was going to happen and had no plan to help evacuate the residents.

My hubby has been making that point as well...why didn't the mayor evacuate these folks by train PRIOR to the hurricane!
