My daughters were both premmies. Can't even begin to imagine how frightened the parents and nurses are in that nursery....

Oh my gosh. My heart is breaking too. I've seen some of those tiny beings in NICU and can't imagine. And the staff can't leave and be with their families. And if they could leave, there's nothing to go to. That is the most tragic part.

I saw one new mother who said her newborn was "taken away" and she had no idea where it was. Can't help but wonder how these folks have arranged to get the infants and parents back together...
Don't get me wrong; I think they are doing a great and heroic job. That (re-connecting kids and parents) is just one (more) complication of this disaster I wouldn't know how to handle.

It would appear that the little ones are being taken care of by the Angels.

I have tears in my eyes as I think about their poor parents, but at least they will know that their children got the best of any medical care available in the city.
there are some hopeful points of life in all of that madness...isn't there.
