I don't care who suppresses these people, personally. But it's probably not the US military, because otherwise things would be in better shape. One of the big problems with this is that the Governor was slow to ask for any Federal aid, and while I am not a big advocate of the Feds, sometimes they're the only people who can deal with a situation of a certain magnitude. And this one qualifies - and I'd like to think my insanely high tax rate is at least buying something for somebody in this country.

O.K. then...if we're going to throw Posse Commitatus to the wind, lets just flush the U.S. Constitution and push to have U.N. peacekeepers in there eh? I mean...what the hell....they'll loot too, but at least they'll shoot some people.

All joking aside...this lawlessness problem isn't so much a financial resource problem now as it is where we simply need numbers of ANG troops on the ground.

If you're not a big fan of Gov't, then you should be this way ALL the time....not just when things happen like now in the gulf. Because the Gov't won't play by your rules when you hand over something like Posse Commitatus once. They won't give it back.
