Where would they get this water and food from? The closest airport that is open is 100 miles away.That roundtrip is en efficient use of a chopper carrying one pallet of water.
It takes time to stage supplies close to the area.They can't just say it ought to be that way and make it happen.Meanwhile people are drowning while the helicopters are being wasted the way yuou would use them.Leave the thinking to the Pros and more lives will be saved.

Yes...there's no one dying from dehydration, as we speak, is there?

Going on three days now.

But helicopters are brought in with sand....

not fresh water.

Good thinking on your part.
