This is a joke. In suburban Pgh the price has gone up 50 cents per gallon in 24 hours. Course it's not as bad as what is happening in Atlanta.

Isn't it kinda schizophrenic to propose rationing, and then suggest cutting taxes, which would tend to drive up demand. Democrats aren't very good at economics are they?

There must be a catch. I think you're right, a cut followed by a larger increase. Coupled with gas rationing. Maybe he'll try Carter's plans. Who can forget the odd-even license plate deal - odd plates could buy gas on odd numbered days of the month and even plates on even numbered days, later expanded to include dollar limits unless you had special permission. Barf.
