I realize that this is a grim story, and dead bodies are certainly part of the story -- increasingly so -- but Shep's report was insane. He had this grim melodramatic tone to his voice, as if he were at a wake or something, then he had his cameraman pan over to show him and the conveniently located dead body behind him. The only thing missing was the dramatic music cued to crescendo wtih the reveal of the body.

I know Shep wants a Peabody or Pulitzer, but this was just plain ridiculous and borderline offensive.

Just damn.

If you want on the list, FReepmail me. This IS a high-volume PING list...

I must tell you that you are completely out of touch with what is going on here. Shep is no more vying for a Pulitzer and is simply trying to let people like you and the rest of the world know that hell has broken loose here on the gulf coast. Sorry for the melodrama.

What the hell is offensive about showing a dead body? This is only the second dead body that I've seen during the entire coverage...the other came from the Commie News Network of all places.

It seems that there were some on here taking down MFH yesterday by demanding proof of the thousands of dead bodies he alleged...and now that there are actually some pictures providing at least anecdotal proof....that this killer storm did in fact take lives....you are going after Shep.

Pretty freaking incredible. This is reality folks. People died down there...

I almost wish they would go back to Sheehan in Crawford or Greta in Aruba.

Yikes.

Wonder if anyone from Fox has ever won a Pulitzer? BTW, do Pulitzers apply to TV journalism or is that only for written journalism?

Saw it twice, the first time he was agitated at the NY studio for showing what he called the "wrong tape"

Thanks for the report -- when I want to know what really is going on I read what you have to say. I didn't see the report but from past viewing of Shep, your analysis makes perfect sense.

Where were the images of dead bodies from the 9/11 attacks?

Political correctness sucks.

I saw that report. Shep is a drama queen. And I do mean queen.
