I saw the panic coming and I filled my truck early in the morning when gas was below $2.50 a gallon. When I went home after work the panic started and gas prices went up to over $4.00 a gallon and the lines started to form. This panic was started by Internet based rumors and wacko callers on the morning talk radio shows.

I wonder how this will hurt the people who really need gas as a result of Katrina.

It will ensure that gas is available to them. Read a little Thomas Sowell and things may become clearer for you.

Many many people on FR think you are an evil person who has caused this problem by speculating that the price of gasoline would rise before you had to fill up again.
