"...Cannot believe the hoodlums have gotten FEMA to stop Search and Rescue missions...."

Cannot believe the hoodlums have NOT BEEN SHOT ON SIGHT! WTF is wrong with those animals. Looting for basic survival items can be overlooked under the circumstances. This is a whole different situation. Animals like this should be terminated with extreme prejudice. And I'll stand by this statement.

I agree. Next thing you'll see is armed citizens in boats exchanging gun fire with the criminals.

The mentality these people have is that they KNOW they won't be shot at by troops. They have nothing to lose.

I fully support this idea. The problem must be dealt with severely and quickly. I was accused of being "relativist" yesterday on this in another thread. The looter-lovers are coming out in force!

From what I'm hearing most NOPD members were either handling search and rescue missions themselves or had no way of getting into areas. Patrol cars are gone, communications is non-existant and frankly the police are outnumbered.

1,400 National Guard troops a day for the next three days is coming into NO to assist the police. If the guard is given the same capabilities as they had after Hurricane Andrew, looters/rioters/law breakers in general, will be shot.
