IMHO, all of you brimstone & hellfire people need to get a damn life. Evil this, evil that, blah, blah, blah. This is such a ridiculous spectacle of inanity.

Here's a newsflash: hurricanes happen. Hurricanes have been happening since way before drunk bimbos started flashing their tits for beads on Bourbon Street. Hurricanes happened in the bayous of Louisiana since before New Orleans was ever built. Everyone has known for as long as New Orleans has been around that a hurricane would take out New Orleans some day.

Guess what, hurricanes are some day gonna take out every city on the Gulf and the lower Atlantic seaboard. Thumping your bibles aren't gonna keep them away. Sad, but true..

Oh, and if God wants to smite voodoo and tit-flashing, when is he gonna get around to Rio de Janeiro?? Heck, they don't ever get hurricanes down there. Not even a measly tropical storm. LOL

"as you can see most of these people are not skin and bones."

Your point? It takes a good amount of time before starvation and dehydration show in people's physiques. Three days isn't enough time for any changes to show.

That is my God as well. I don't believe that God reigned down terror on so many good people in a three state area for vengence. I do believe it is up to authorities to rid the area of the thugs by any means possible including shooting them on site when they take aim and shoot at our military/cops/anyone else.

And their race is relevant how?

I am going to go out on a PC limb here and say what should be said. Black youth have been sold a bill of goods that the gangsta lifestyle is their culture, Ebonics and all. We embrace it by not condemning the violence promoted by MTV, etc. Liberals tell us that we should celebrate this diversity. I say, bullsh%$!

Bill Cosby got it right. These people should have been encouraged to assimilate with mainstream America instead of being given a thug faux-culture. Instead, the greatest sin one of these thugs can commit is to be an OREO, that is to say, an American.

Yes, it's because they are black that liberals have saddled them with this mentality, a mentality that will keep them from ever being productive and keep them on the public dole.

Okay, flame away

Paradox was responding to something I said. I did NOT say a thing about God's revenge. I made one comment about trying to hear God's voice in all this and it's been like the parlor game whispering rumors. I have never believed that God visits his revenge on people in this matter. Sometimes, it just isn't worth freeping at all.

I personally know over 200 co-workers and friends who have lost everything but their lives. About 70 more are unaccounted-for. These people work for the federal courts and they aren't witches or evil. They are law-abiding people who work hard and have never harmed anyone. As I have said before, the Good Lord doesn't send natural disasters to punish people just because some other sanctimonious people disapprove. This is just outrageous and it is very hurtful. I have cried gallons of tears since my power was restored and I was able to see what is going on down there. I'm trying to find out whether some people are alive and where they are. And on top of that, I'm hungry and I don't have any gas and can't get any food. So all of these nasty people posting about God's revenge just need to shut up.

An armed policeman guards a truck loaded with fuel from potential looters in the hurricane-ravaged city of New Orleans August 31, 2005.

Looters drive off with a trunk full of beer after raiding a Rite Aid Drug Store in New Orleans on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005.

Police officers came by a short time later and stopped at the drug store which had been forced open by someone driving a fork lift truck but did little to stop the looters who were taking food from the store.

FNC just reported that about 7,500 National Guardsmen had been sent to NO but new orders will increase that number to 18,000. I hope they bring their weapons.

I agree with you -- inept leadership in the Governor's office is going to start showing up more and more. Keating had a tendency to insert foot in mouth but he was a strong leader who people depended on during the disasters here. I would hate to think what Henry would do.

Do you really think that is true?

Yes, I think it is true that voodoo and witchcraft and all sorts of spinoffs are practiced down there.

From there you took a wild leap to infer that I think my deity is responsible for the hurricane. I don't believe that at all. I don't think a loving deity glories in collateral damage of the innocent. My deity is also patient and merciful with evil people, much more than I have patience for.

I agree.

That is what the bible teaches us as well.

OldFriend said it first.

An eye for an eye.

You are right, most of the good people got out of NO methinks. Also, Andrew hit a less urbanized area of South Florida. A large mix of Anglos, Latinos, and Blacks, but not alot of urban types.
