LOL, Thanks!
Hi radu!!! Good to see you.
Thank you for great pictures of the rescue operation.
I have see some amazing pictures today on tv.
Howdy there Arrowhead! It's so good to see you!
We've missed you too. LOL! I know all about that no reply thing during working hours, kinda the same restriction here!
You're on stand-by?
Oddly, I could go for an MRE right now.
We have a commo team that got activated to NO. The THUGS tried to steal the satellite telephone system out of their van while they were getting the generator fired up. How bad is that???
Howdy Kathy! *HUGZ*
Katrina is long gone. WHEW! We didn't get much rain in this area but the winds were intense. We have some large limbs blown out of trees on the farm but that's the worst of it. The corn survived amazingly well.
Other areas of the county had more damage......trees down and crops blown over. We had some short power outtages but never more than a couple of hours at a time.
My prayers are still going for the folks along the coast who have had it so bad from the storm. Many evacuated to TN. and several churches and groups are offering them as much help as they're able for as long as necessary. I hope this is happening in other areas where people went to escape the storm's wrath.
Howdy ms. feather! *HUGZ*
How's it goin' in the northlands these days?
Someone up there has finally decided to share some of that cooler weather with us. I had to wear a light jacket when I went outside last night. LOL! Gonna be chilly again tonight, from what I understand. We love it!!
Just recovery standby this weekend from tonight until tomorrow at 6 AM. There are units moving thru the Austin area and we have to recover any disabled vehicles. Cell phone on the left, land line on the right.
It's great up here, Du. We got some needed rain, the temps are decent, nights are great for sleeping, and the crickets are creeking.
*HUGS*
Thank you for your service Arrowhead. Stay safe!
*HUGS*
I just hope I don't get the dreaded 2 AM call to go out on the roads to have to repair or recover a vehicle. Too many DUIs on the road that time of the night.
We've enjoyed being able to have the windows open in the evening. I just hate having the house closed up in the summer and winter. I've always been a fresh air person.
Of course, Katrina blew in some "foreign" pollen and we're all three suffering sinus headaches. LOL! Oh well, we take the bad with the good and live with it. The break from the oppressive heat is worth a little headache and sniffling.
Dang straight, Du. Glad you got some comfort. Keep yer nose covered!! ;)
HUGS
I'll take the one on the left.
Memory says that the vegetarian one was horrific and was often used to simulate landmines.
