Eagle-eyed hindsight. When it was reported yesterday that martial law was imposed we had people screaming about how they couldn't do that. If it actually had been imposed how many comments do you think there would have been about Jackbooted Thugs?

I'm so damned tired of hearing that kind of day-after armchair wisdom from FR rocket scientists today, I believe I'll let the screen door hit me in the ass on my way out of this thread.

ever heard of states' rights? don't believe the Prez can just "send in the Army" into any state. the aid has to be requested, and therein lies the problem. the mayor and governor appear to be weak, and paralyzed, and unaware of same to the point that they haven't requested the obvious. send in Rudy G and Bernard Kerik, pullleaaaseee.
