Have there been any countries that have offered anything more to us than the trite line "gee, we're sorry about NOLA and Biloxi. You will be in our prayers"???

After this I say we don't give a dime to any other country for natural disasters. The last year has brought two horrific hurricanes (Ivan and Katrina) and numerous less severe ones. How much overseas aid have we received???

The prosecution rests, yer Honor...........

You are welcome Scarlet. It is convenient to have the phone numbers on hand. Rush did a great public service by making the info available.

The Red Cross and the United Way will never get a penny of my money. Both organizations are corrupt. Stick with the Salvation Army, Samaritan's Purse, or some other legitimate charity that uses all your gifts to actually help people and not line their own pockets.

I can personally vouch for Catholic Charities and I've heard wonderful things about the Salvation Army.

Bye, bye, bubblehead. You signed up 'tomorrow'. And you have no concept of the separation of powers. You see, there are these people called governors, and they each are in charge of their respective states, not President Bush. Every state has a capital, and that's where the governor lives...

Idiot!

So who do we give money to that won't spend it on new office space or on a condom program in Africa. I want my cash to go right to these people. I fear my red cross money went down the toilet.

Americans are the most generous people on earth. We don't need no stinkin' foreign aid.

I agree with you on this... I donated to the Salvation Army last night.

Does anyone know of a contact for finding your family members in the Biloxi area??? We're trying to find out if our kids are alive..

The Biloxi sherriff's department will have a list of the deceased that have been found. It's not exactly "proof of life" but it's about as good as you will find at this point

Considering all that WalMart suffered for their generosity in opening their doors to those in need, I would add:

SHOP WAL-MART!

Israel offered condolences and help. They said that they don't have much experience in floods, but they have a lot of know-how dealing with collapsed buildings.

I am not making a joke. That is really what the note to Condoleeza Rice said. I thought it was sweet. They are as stunned as we are.

You have to say one thing about Israel, they are never a fair weather ally. And both countries have suffered because of the relationship.

Israel will always have 100% of my support.
