And, the correct spelling is C-U-L-L.
Afterall, it is liberalism and the nanny state that puts NOLA in the situation it finds itself today.
Yesterday, gas prices here were not even posted here, Midland, Texas. There were several accidents at gas stations with folks cutting in line. I was almost hit in a gasoline line yesterday.
Thanks. I agree, she's in over her head. This is the democratic party live and in color.
Just watched an interview on CNN (yes, I know...I switch all around the dial) with Bush 41 and Clinton... she tried to blame Bush for this mess and CLINTON jumped all over her! He cut of 41 to have his say and got red in the face doing it... he said the President is doing everything he can and this is no time for anyone to point fingers at him, that NO escaped Katrina and was decimated by the high water in Ponchartrain and the Mississippi AFTER the hurricane passed... they both said they understand the anger and grief, but everyone is moving as fast as possible.
Maybe she just wanted to stay at the Ritz. :-)
i kinda agree with ya, but she said that when they tried to get out, all flights were canceled due to weather so they were stuck in the Ritz.
however, she could have called a cab, rental, or hell, bought an old car with her husbands Rolex and tried to make a run for it....hindsight is funny like that
I know it's for a good cause and they will be effective but now we have to deal with the Clinton Bush dog and pony show
"By CNN reporting that there have been no aid workings at the Convention Center
A flat out demonstrable lie. "
Is the mayor's SOS for help at the Convention Center also a lie? My apologies for being more concerned with people suffering that what arm of the government is to blame here. I believe it is called concern for humanity....
Knock off the petty personal attack and tone down the language now
I have a stun gun and I'm not afraid to use it
Now please play nice
Got It!
Thanks, now carry on

This is the greatest natural disaster in our nation's history. It might have been alleviated by corrective action many years ago, as the Army Corps of Engineers was crying about, but blaming this on any current government leaders is nuts. Some of them are beyond their competance level (blame the N.O. and LA voters) and for the rest we simply don't maintain FEMA with the capability to build a city for 500,000 people in three days and relocate that number of people to it.
I won't vouch for all that jeffers stated in his post, but certainly blaming anyone for their failure in this unprecidented situation is simply nutty. Anyone who looked at that levee breach on Mon/Tues who didn't realize the ramifications would be dire wasn't looking ahead, and no amount of planning/ coordination/ leadership by anybody was going to prevent what is now going on. The one and only leadership failure I would place my finger on as of now is failure of the governor to DECLARE MARTIAL LAW and give shoot to kill orders regarding looters and other criminals, as many of us recommended two days ago, the direct consequence of which is today's travesty.
As for the rest, it takes time to coordinate these emergency responses, and they're doing as well as can be expected when there is zero transport and communications infrastructure remaining.
Wow! Bubba came to 43's rescue? ... wow!
That rules out the Gore & Kerry voters.
You're changing the question because you know you're wrong; the NG has been in there from the very beginning.
Depends on what you mean by "eliminate".
My intent was to spread the welfare recipients around to other jurisdictions.
I'm Baaaack!
I have no power (generator only), my phone line just came back up and it is real slow so, I may not be on line long.
Everyone here are okay...this situation has really taxed my cosmic winter supplies(ahem). I've learned a lot about how to prepare next time. I have trees down all over but all structures were undamaged...all my closest neighbors lost their roofs and my biggest inconvenience has been no A/C.
