If I were one of the millions of Atlantans, I'd be driving home, parking the car, and looking up mass transit on the internet. At least until gas prices dropped again.

I saw one lady on the local news today who said "That's it. I'm going to sell my car and ride my bike from now on." And she was series. Probably a liberal.

" I'd be driving home, parking the car, and looking up mass transit on the internet." I don't know about in Atlanta, but there was a recent story in the Cleveland PD that showed that people who take the Regional Transit Atrocity to work can spend 2-3 hours a day more commuting than those who drive. Even if one burns as much as two gallons a day commuting, thats $6.00. Or $2-$3/hr (minus fare) to be in cramped, nasty, sometimes unsafe surroundings. No thanks.

Having ridden mass transit with folks who have mental problems, have wet themselves and like to inflict themselves on non-interested women, I think your idea displays more than a little unfamiliarity with what mass transit is actually like.
