Sheehan, a symbol of the current anti warmongering, gave a heartbreaking interview Tuesday to a journalist from the Spanish newspaper El Pais, in which she warns the president he is not listening to those opposing the war against Iraq.

The more I read of her krep, the more I wonder how badly this publicity-hungry bimbo treated her son and now feels she must do something to make up for it.

Saw it during RVN. Two sons. One the achiever. The other was a drop out the parents ignored until he was old enough to throw him out of the house. He wasn't a bad kid, just didn't have the brain power of his Ph.D. brother so Mom and Dad treated him like dirt.

Then he steps on a mine and goes Line One in RVN. Suddenly he is a Saint. Mom insists the Rochester Democrat- Chronicle print a full page obit, they build a shrine to him in the font yard, lit 24/7, etc.

So, let's see. Her son, Casey, joined the military against her wishes or better judgement? No? Oh, she spent weeks trying to talk him out of it and void the sign up? No? Well, we don't know for sure. Oh, I know, she refused to speak to him or send correspondance to him? She just found out that folks who join the military can actually be killed in the line of duty or through accident not in combat? Not likely. And she just found out that there's no tooth fairy. Wait, then Casey tragically lost his life defending his country and helping Iraqis free and rebuild theirs. Then when the President of the United States, George Bush, wanted to meet with her and her family and the families of other fallen soldiers, she refused to go and expressed her anger and dissent? No?

My point? She knew all along the risks Casey faced and that, sadly, some soldiers are killed in the line of duty, in combat and otherwise. She was supportive, along with her family, of Casey and his service until... Well, we don't know what happened for sure, but the left is hanging her as their banner du jour. And she's making a fool of herself.
