I heard yesterday the reason the price is jumping is because the stations are charging what it will cost to refill their storage tanks so we can all pump gas. We have a wide variance of price here in Norman depending on who supplies the gasoline.
Right on. The price of gas at my local station went up $0.20 a gal in just one day. I guess because we were filling up on the day before and they could see their levels were getting low. So it is caused by a run on gas AND speculation.
