I think what the gas companies are doing is way over the top. There is NO explanation for gas going from 2.65 to 3.35 overnight, none. Except price gouging

Call it whatever you like. If the price is too high, people won't buy it. Shop at the "nice" gas station that only charges $2.75. And when their tanks run dry, and you refuse to pay the gougers, you can walk.

But hope and pray that a few gougers remain with ridiculously expensive gas left to buy, when the ambulance comes to rescue you.

We are not in danger of running out of gasoline in America. And if we are, then there are some incompetents running things.
