Prayers for the Katrina Victims....

Dear Lord...Please embrace in your arms those who have perished, for the "displaced families" AND their families who are waiting and wondering.

Dear Lord, please offer comfort and strength for the relief workers who could so easily sit back at home and watch the stories unfold on national news rather than sacrifice to help their fellow man.

As always, dear Lord, please embrace our military men and women deployed overseas, giving them strength and keeping them safe.

Please help us forgive those who are simply using this as a "political tool". Please try to reach them and help them begin to recognize that this crisis is beyond "politics as usual".

And, please accept our prayers for our President and his team as they deal with this crisis.

For this we pray. Amen.

I have very limited access this weekend, so don't expect to see much of me. I am in Fredericksburg for a big craft show, and although the motel says they have wireless, it stinks. I am in the lobby right now--till they run me out! :o)
