He spoke to me for all of 5-10 mins...named off the areas...said it is literally a war zone...like a bomb went off and killed everything in sight...the water came in nearly 2 miles....just took everything in its site.
Winds sustained at 145 at the time it all went to hell per-medic.Everything turned white.

I am also thinking of the heavy tragedies Pres. Bush has had while in office. Very heavy.

I watched a guy on broadcast TV last night that had come from California to experience a hurricane because he had never been in one. He rode out the storm in a parking garage near the shore of Biloxi and video taped the whole thing. When the storm surge hit he said it came as a 25 foot wall of water that just destroyed everything in its path. His closing comment: "I wanted to experience a hurricane...I got more than I bargained for..."

Can your friend tell us how we can help? Is there anyway that we can send supplies to the rescuers or the victims? Blankets, toothbrushes, bleach, etc.??
With regards to the low death toll currently being reported, I've heard in several news stories how officials are so overwhelmed with trying to get to and take care of survivors that they can not even think about the dead right now. They can't use reources to transport them or count them.
Thanks for any information on getting supplies into these areas.
