I don't recall insulting your IQ, SANITY, or even your beliefs, per se.

If you think voodoo and other rampant rebellions across our land and in the NO area are wonderful in God's sight--enjoy your perspective as long as you are able to.

I prefer to try and conform my perspective to God's.

And His perspective on a list of things is not all that hidden or even complex or mysterious.

Suffering is a complex topic in the best of times. And you have had a knee-jerk/meat axe response to my inputs on this disaster. You haven't demonstrated much of a clue of really understanding my perspective more than maybe 1/10 of one percent.

If you think God is thrilled, happy, winking at rampant infant murder; glorifying of homosexual behavior and relationships; alcoholism; raging sexual acting out of every stripe; greed; rebellions of many sorts etc.

Then, I think you might do well to trade your defective Scriptures in for more accurate ones.

What book are you reading ?

Let's try these:

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son

My God grieves when one of these dies and is condemned.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance

The Father's response to Jonah's anger over His sparing Nineveh shows me His heart towards the lost:

"You have been concerned about this vine, though you did not tend it or make it grow. It sprang up overnight and died overnight. But Nineveh has more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left, and many cattle as well. Should I not be concerned about that great city?"

Answer me this - Does God love the people who have died in this disaster or not?

God took a great risk when He gave men the freedom to reject Him ... but Jesus shows us the Father's heart towards even those:

As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it and said, "If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace—but now it is hidden from your eyes. The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God's coming to you."

They were doomed, but He wept over them.

Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign LORD. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live?

As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that they turn from their ways and live.

Looking back at the suffering of the past couple of days ... have you shed any tears for those that were lost or has all your energy been spent spewing your oh so delightful "they had it coming - turn or burn" message.

This will be my last go-round Quix, pearls before swine has kicked in.
