Tell it to Jesus
Now there were some present at that time who told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices. Jesus answered, "Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans because they suffered this way? I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish. Or those eighteen who died when the tower in Siloam fell on themdo you think they were more guilty than all the others living in Jerusalem? I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish."
Tell it to Paul ...
We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.
There is none righteous, not one ... not even you.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast
Your works stink, as do mine. I count mine loss ... do you? Somehow, Caiaphas, I don't think you do.
It appears that you have no clue about me; about my perspective; feelings, thoughts, attitude; nor about what God has done in my life.
That saddens me but doesn't overwhelm me.
I love the Scriptures you posted and you made some good points about them which I thoroughly agree with.
Certainly I am not at all righteous except through, in and via Jesus' Precious Blood.
Certainly in my own works and any things else one might appeal to, I'm nothing better than a used Kotex as Scripture says.
Thankfully, Jesus isn't leaving me in that state.
You sound like you'd like to.
