Astonishing Exclusive From Mississippi [hundreds if not thousands dead]
Paramedic Rescue Operation | 8-31-05 | My Favorite Headache

Posted on 08/30/2005 10:10:45 PM PDT by My Favorite Headache

It is with heavy heart I write this...

I have finally reconnected with my best friend who is a paramedic who was sent from Georgia 2 days ago to Gulf Port, Mississippi before the hurricane hit.

He just reached me within the last 10 mins via emergency cell phone to tell me he was alive.

Thousands of bodies have been discovered throughout Mississippi in Gulf Port, Waveland,Hancock County,Bay of St.Louis.

They are hanging in trees and they are pulling them out 30 at a time. Entire families found drowned in their homes and washing up on shore.

The stories he could tell me were brief. National Guard is on the scene and arresting anyone seen on the streets.

The numbers are staggering and what I have been told tonight will shake people to their foundation as the numbers will be coming out in the next 24-hours of just how many people have actually perished in these and 3 other beach communities.

More to follow....

Oh my GOD!!! CNN is showing bodies in Slidell, La. And they're ALIVE!!! In fact one of them is talking into a microphone right now.

I saw that guy! He was a policeman. He was going to go check on his elderly neighbor. What a callous stormtrooper, selfishly checking on his neighbor instead of helping to pull thousands and thousands of bodies from the killer trees in batches of thirty.

He's going to report back to the CNN newsperson so we'll find out if his neighbor was up in a tree.

It's amazing how many people still haven't grasped the new media. To them, if it ain't on CBS, it just can't be real.

It'll probably take a generation or so to change that perception,

Keeping quiet about high death tolls would be prudent at this point if for no other reason than avoiding outsiders looking for more information.

Its not about the outsiders right now. The government is not even letting them back into the area. Its all about saving as many people who's life's are currently threatened. We need ALL resources possible put into play.

One of the things that amazes me about this site is the fact that people will post with impunity things they would not say to each other face to face.

While I appreciate your service and what you do to keep this country safe and the finest in the world, I do not appreciate direct personal attacks or name calling.

I let the "hall monitor" comment go. You followed up with another. If you want to post like a complete clymer, expect the same. BTW, the accusations of the original post being a lie are pretty dammed serious. People get banned for that crap. Posting BS is considered a form of trolling. People also get banned or suspended for getting a little too personal, BTW.

So here's the deal: I don't post to you or flag you. You reciprocate with that level of courtesy.

Again, thank you for your service, soldier.

......and not one single peep from the media. How remote is this area where the bodies are being found?

You are expecting maybe professionalism and competence?
Remember the OJ trial? Amber Fry? Now there's news!

I'm not saying more. I like it here.

Get a grip.

You need to be here a little longer ma'am before you start pulling that junk on me.

Just becaue someone is telling you things that don't fit with your hysterical view on the world right now doesn't give you the carte blanche to start whining to the Mods.

Tragic.

But will other countries or the U.N. come to our need or help with relief efforts?

DON'T COUNT ON IT!

Here's the actual text (which you failed to provide accurately):

"Thousands of bodies have been discovered throughout Mississippi in Gulf Port, Waveland,Hancock County,Bay of St.Louis."

"They are hanging in trees and they are pulling them out 30 at a time. Entire families found drowned in their homes and washing up on shore."

With a little reading comprehension, one can understand that those "thousands of bodies", as reported, are spread out in trees, drowned in their homes and washing up on shore. Not just trees that you seem to be stuck on.

Want to try again?

I've been here since 2000.

And your questioning that poster on her estrogen levels was not exactly civil discourse.

I remember hearing about a mandatory evacuation from New Orleans. The ones who stayed were those who could not get tranpsortation out of the area, the sick and the elderly. This mandatory evacuation did nothing to prevent the looting which is going on.

Good point. I think the water surge is going to be a factor, because we have already seen so many examples of the water simply moving through and taking everything with it. The same kinds of things happened in 1993 during the 500 year flood.

The Biloxi-Gulfport area appears to be ground-zero, and that is probably where we are going to see the highest death toll. Reports say the water traveled several miles inland, so for all we know that is where the above mentioned, happened.

Whether the dead are suspended in trees or buried under debris is irrelevant. It only matters that people have died, a number which we don't yet know.

As more mainstream media sources begin reporting an ever-more-dire situation, our virulent nay-sayers on this thread have moved to quibbling about semantics.

I'm a bit skeptical of that report because I doubt the original source saw all those places with his own eyes. The "pulling them out 30 at a time" sounds like its from that one apartment complex that collapsed, and people are now extrapolating/guessing.

No intent to deceive, but perhaps some jumping to conclusions.

And I'm afraid the dying in New Orleans has only just begun.

I think you have an excellent point. Think of all the stress involved leading to health problems, the number of prescription medicines and the disruptions in quality medical care, the health hazards, etc.

This factor could result in many many deaths that will never be tallied to the hurricane but were caused indirectly by it.

Keep your veild threats of banning and wagging finger to yourself.

It just makes you look silly.

I'm not some wet behind the ears noob here.

I know full well what the rules are here and what is and isn't a bannable offense.

So take your sactimonious tone and attitude and find another place for it away from posting to me.

Just because someone doesn't follow the sheeple on this story doesn't mean you can attack them en masse.

Just because someone says they are skeptical doesn't give you the right to threaten or cry to the Mods.

Good day.

You may want to see post 753. Corroboration of the original post, sadly seems to be coming in.

As for the media coverage: I have been on Fox (I refuse to watch Commie News Net or PMSNBC). What I have seen is Supersome, Bourbon St., a chunk of Gulfsport, and dammed little else.

Besides not actually being out in the remoter sites where a lot of human misery is going on, the media may perhaps be self censoring the worst reports. Still, some outlets are hinting at massive loss of life - The Houston Chron story on the post I linked you to mentioned "hundreds" of people, but only gave details about the apartment building with 30 dead in it. I suspect other details will emerge.

The statement that the original post was a lie is a pretty serious accusation - a banning offense for posting BS. It also seems that, sadly, the scenario described in the original post is accurate enough. I wish it were'nt. But I trust MFH, that poster has not lied that I know of in the last 5 years I have known them.
