It is with heavy heart I write this...
I have finally reconnected with my best friend who is a paramedic who was sent from Georgia 2 days ago to Gulf Port, Mississippi before the hurricane hit.
He just reached me within the last 10 mins via emergency cell phone to tell me he was alive.
Thousands of bodies have been discovered throughout Mississippi in Gulf Port, Waveland,Hancock County,Bay of St.Louis.
They are hanging in trees and they are pulling them out 30 at a time. Entire families found drowned in their homes and washing up on shore.
The stories he could tell me were brief. National Guard is on the scene and arresting anyone seen on the streets.
The numbers are staggering and what I have been told tonight will shake people to their foundation as the numbers will be coming out in the next 24-hours of just how many people have actually perished in these and 3 other beach communities.
More to follow....
I agree. And they get downright cranky if pushed for a number. With all the destruction we've seen, it's reasonable to believe there was a great loss of life. As the truth comes out, the political blame game will begin. The ugliness of Katrina will be with us for a long time.
Rage? I don't see how anyone could blame the powers that be for this. It is a human tragedy. The powers that be warned residents to leave. Anyone who willingly stayed did so with a risk.
I see no reason why Haley Barbour would deceive anyone about the death toll.
Newbie...Troll...It's Peter Zucker back again...same thread...smearing only my posts...it's quite ok...you continue to dig your hole deeper and deeper.
FNC talking head says Mary Landrieu also now saying there are thousands dead in Louisiana.

Orlando Salinas in Gulf Port,Mississippi adding to what I reported here last night...18-wheelers are being stocked with dead bodies, the call is being made for help pulling bodies out of homes along the coast as they are deputizing people to help pull bodies out of homes. Entire families are dead from drowning in their homes and under rubble.
It was just on Greta's show on Fox 10:05 EST...it's finally coming out...this story is just having a blanket thrown on it because they have so many they can't give accurate numbers there are so many.
This is what I was suspended for putting up last night.
The mods on duty must have really been wired, as I cannot see anything harmful in that, especially since it's a sourced report.
And more thing, now I know why I never did like the Hugh Hewitt show.
MFH, do you mean you were suspended from FR? I was following your thread most of the day yesterday, but I wasn't on line last night. What happened?
I think the credibility of this forum would be enhanced if there were some word about repurcussions for getting you suspended in the first place.
People who are overly concerned about "fearmongering" and "public panic" are really self-annointed information gatekeepers. Freepers themselves have great BS detectors.
The people who got you suspended are the same sort of people, when in bureaucratic positions in government, seek to accrue illegitimate power. They need to be closely monitored.
Also, that jibes with what one can read between the lines in the story I cited in this reply:

Glad you're back!
You were suspended for posting this thread? I had been following it and noticed that you were not around for a good portion of it to defend yourself from the handful of folks that seemed to have an existential need to label you a liar. I went back and re-read your post, and it doesn't say anything that is not in the newest reports.
While I don't expect the aforementioned handful to apologize for being so rude when your "tall tale" turned out to be truthful, I would at least expect for you to receive an apology from one of the moderators. You've been on this forum for far too long to be treated like a newbie.
Here is what happened...
I posted the post above about what was just aired at the time on FOX with Orlando Salinas...about 22 people commented about the report right away and that they too saw it. I still have the freeper names who were on the thread.
I posted it in breaking news. It was yanked and labeled "speculation",ok...so I reposted it again putting the words in the title "CONFIRMED: 18-Wheelers Pulling Into Gulf Port Stacking Bodies"...was pulled right away again...reason? Speculation.
I contacted the mod's etc...to ask them..why are you pulling a confirmed report from Fox News that supports everything I had been reporting from the ground for 24-hours in Mississippi?
I was then suspended and told to "take a vacation...you nead a break".
So Fox confirmation of every detail I had been describing on here...got me suspended.
I am happy to see it was short lived...however...the story needs to go back into breaking news if you ask me,as a real crisis is going on in Miss.
I will hold no grudges...this hunter_23 hunter_33 character is the same troll from yesterday. He just signs up to smear anything that I write and then gets banned.
You were suspended for THAT?! We saw them interview one of the truckers on Fox. He stated that the dead were being treated with respect and not being thrown around. *sigh*
Exactly that report. It was as if I made it up out of the wind. The Salinas report was the real deal for what the doubters needed on this thread so I was hoping it would put an end to the hostile environment, not to kiss their ass. This is a time where the country should be coming together and getting real information out.
Supression of a confirmed report on many levels is something new to me on FR.
But hey...I am not a Mod...they have their own agenda...it's done and over...let's move on and get the news out.
Bump your update
I sure am glad to see you back...and appreciate the candor of your reports.
The thread ran all day with much heated give and take by many. Since only MFH was banned (since reinstated), it's natural to assume a few people complained specifically about him.
How telling.
Fear of speaking honestly, without using insults, is not a new thing for me. I've not been suspended but have watched it from the sidelines.
let's move on and get the news out.
This is, indeed, the important thing.
I'm not trying to be smart here, but I don't understand this part of your post. Telling of what?
