Astonishing Exclusive From Mississippi [hundreds if not thousands dead]
Paramedic Rescue Operation | 8-31-05 | My Favorite Headache

Posted on 08/30/2005 10:10:45 PM PDT by My Favorite Headache

It is with heavy heart I write this...

I have finally reconnected with my best friend who is a paramedic who was sent from Georgia 2 days ago to Gulf Port, Mississippi before the hurricane hit.

He just reached me within the last 10 mins via emergency cell phone to tell me he was alive.

Thousands of bodies have been discovered throughout Mississippi in Gulf Port, Waveland,Hancock County,Bay of St.Louis.

They are hanging in trees and they are pulling them out 30 at a time. Entire families found drowned in their homes and washing up on shore.

The stories he could tell me were brief. National Guard is on the scene and arresting anyone seen on the streets.

The numbers are staggering and what I have been told tonight will shake people to their foundation as the numbers will be coming out in the next 24-hours of just how many people have actually perished in these and 3 other beach communities.

More to follow....

Is it possible that we wont hear the numbers of the dead on the news until they get all the living people out?

Robert Kennedy Jr. penned an Op Ed yesterday blaiming the Hurricane and those that have died on the fact that W didn't sign the Kyoto treaty.

I don't doubt the report for a second. They did NOT order an evacuation, because the storm was going to NO. I guess memories fade after 36 years, you would think that they all remembered Camile

I would be glad to hear an estimate for any geographic area you would like to postulate on.....i am not sure public numbers will ever break this down but I would exclude the secondary deaths you refer to.

I will go on record with the following:

My personal guess is that there is an absolute minimum of 2500 confirmed dead in LA MS AL, and if numbers for missing people whose residences were destroyed/completely flooded/damaged are released, I would say at least 1500 there too. I assume in NOLA they will find most if not all corpses, but in MS this is far from certain. I would not be surprised to see a number of cofirmed dead in the high 4 digits.

We saw this with the Tsunami, and your example of 9/11 is the probably the best example of this. Rather than give people dignity, they'd rather show them plummeting to their deaths for 24 hours, and then turn around and say "out of respect for the families, we won't show any more".

Exactly. I find anything about a natural disaster or terrorist attack being suppressed by MSM to be pretty incredible. Especially if there's any potential to blame the Bush administration in some way.

The MSM ain't squeamish.

When we persistently as a culture give God the finger . . . at some point, He must respond.

Voodoo, infanticide, the extreme excesses of Mardi Gras etc. are not ways to win God's favor.

I'm glad I don't know your "god". Mine gave me a rainbow.

Finally you get here! We've been spending hours trying to deflect the barbs of those who think you are some sort of subversive newbie!

Good morning and have at it!

"Robert Kennedy Jr. penned an Op Ed yesterday blaiming the Hurricane and those that have died on the fact that W didn't sign the Kyoto treaty."

That is a secular version of the "God's justice" theory. Many leftists who would ridicule the "God's justice" theory would buy in to Kennedy's theory, not realizing it's just a secular version of the same idea.

I heard last night that in many places the rescue guys are marking houses that have bodies inside with spray paint, so they can go back later.

It is horrific, but as they begin to reach all the areas that so far have gone unsearched, I fear we will find more and more.

Someone needs to tell him his uncle killed more with his car than Kyoto would have saved.

I like Hugh, but it seems like he began losing respect for this forum about the time this forum started losing respect for him.

Thank you so much, MFH. God bless you, your brave friend, and all involved in the rescue and recovery efforts.

And may God bless our MANY fellow countrymen who have lost loved ones. I pray for them and for the MANY still in harm's way. My heart is just sick.

"Oh, ok. Typical LOL"

Yuppers...rescue efforts were less than 12 hours old and already the Libs were making it a politcal "gotcha" on W.

The DUmp is saying President Bush pulled a LIHOP on New Orleans where the Hurricane is concerned.

They are also calling for the comandeering of Cruise ships to put the homeless folks in.

And defending the looting.

Here's the Clarion Ledger's front page: "Worse Than Feared".

We all looked at that animated graph from nooa and feared the worst. What is worse than that?
