If global warming has progressed to such a degree that it's producing these kind of changes, shouldn't the polar ice caps have melted and raised sea level significantly (something we should be able to measure with considerable precision)? Shouldn't New Orleans be underwater already?

Even if Bush had become a true believer and instituted Kyoto on day one of his administration, even if global warming dogma were true, would that have made the whole doomsday scenario better after only a few years? Please.

Go, Dems, go. Stick your necks WAY out on this one.

Hi - the polar ice caps are just displaced frozen water - the same amount that's always been on earth ... example, take a glass and fill it with ice, then add water until the ice floats and the water is even with the rim. What happens when the ice melts? Same thing globally ....
