I know 9-11 doesn't compare to this catastrophe, but NYorkers were extremely decent during that emergency! If I recall correctly, there was no looting, but folk helping folk! This is so sad to see Americans do this. Groceries I can understand, tv's and other stuff I have deep concerns! OBTW...IT'S BUSH'S FAULT..(sarcasm/off)

And some of the looters had children with them -- teaching the children to be thieves.

Probability is that the decent poor folks of New Orleans can be found at the Superdome...the others didn't want to go through the storm without their booze, drugs and weapons.

There were a couple of incidents. Guys stealing watches and some copper coil, but mostly very well behaved. In fact, crime overall went waaay down in the weeks following, even though there were fewer cops on patrol in most areas. The spirit in the whole tri-state area was unbelievable.
