I understand Bourbon St. is slightly elevated.

Bourbon Street is 2.5 feet above sea level.

Bourbon Street is one to two feet above sea level so the water there shouldn't get higher than a couple feet or so.

PS. I typoed.. I meant to say that the French Quarter as a whole is one to two feet above sea level. Others have posted 2.5 ft for Bourbon St, which is even better. The flood waters are only supposed to get to around 3 ft or so above sea level.
