Like I explained vessels had to stay away from the area, because of the storm, and the ships travel at about 25 miles per hour. They can't magically teleport there.

The cable news keeps reporting about one levee being broken; don't we have information that it's actually two that are broken?

The BBC is showing pictures of a building collapse in Biloxi and other destructions scenes, noting the heroism and the looting. Bush was shown saying the priority is saving lives. The BBC noted some towns are completely cut off.

Another BBC correspondent in NO said that the rate of water rise seems to have leveled off where he is, and estimated that over 100 died in MS, but said there is no good count of this.

Plus moving in a boat and its wake with the river close to overtopping levees may not be a good idea right now.
