I was thinking the same thing, I live in the Dallas/Ft.Worth area...I don't have any room for any people, but if there were a motel or something that was offering discounts for rooms, I could probably pay for a few days for a couple...
I just heard on local news that there are some shelters in Dallas that are already full. I heard one woman from NO that said they just drove...didn't know where to go...and ended up here.
These people are going to need long term help.
I live in DFW too. Nice to meet you. This whole thing has me weeping. We have family in Mississippi and were visiting there this past weekend and drove home Sunday through Alexandria with all of the refugees. This is a national tragedy unlike anything we have ever seen...so sad.
