There has been so much water driven into the area by the hurricane that it may indeed take a while for the lake, normally at sea level, to come back down to sea level.

There has been so much water driven into the area by the hurricane that it may indeed take a while for the lake, normally at sea level, to come back down to sea level.

To get to the bottom of it, we need to know at what level the lake would run off in the natural process. We don't know that, but I heard it can't go much above one foot of sea level before it does. I think we all would make great reporters!
