Have you ever been on hot concrete in 90+ weather and no water. My guess is that there are a lot more just like him.
Bourbon and Canal....store fire.
I pray it isn't day late and dollar short.
Does this help?
Obviously you know nothing about dehydration and children. That child needs help and soon.
I felt such a sense of relief, I was able to leave the house for the first time since Monday afternoon. And I kept hearing Cheney during the 2000 election saying "Help is on the way".
Mayor Says Thousands
May Be Dead in New Orleans
Wall Street Journal
The full scale of Katrina's devastation remained elusive and yet clearly appeared to be far worse than what authorities had been prepared to deal with. New Orleans, a major American city with a population of half a million has effectively been abandoned. Wednesday afternoon, Mayor Ray Nagin said hundreds, and maybe thousands, of residents have died, and Louisiana Gov. Kathleen Blanco has ordered a full evacuation of the city. Ten of thousands of refugees still need to be evacuated, but the city, now largely under water, looks be unlivable for weeks if not months to come.
The Quarter is such a volatile place; everything is so close together.
Remember Grand Forks, ND in 1993? The city flooded from the Mississippi overflow, then a fire in one of the buildings spread and destroyed everything that the flood didn't.
Interesting how both Islamic and Christian extremists think God is using hurricanes as bowling balls to smite America.
I think that angry lady on CNN had some good points, but I bet you $1 million that she voted for Blanco.
To: Guenevere G. all you other wonderful folks, it is so nice that you are concerned about us, this is something we will never forget. As I always say, we got the best cyber neighborhood in the world right here on ATRW. 179 posted on 08/28/2005 3:29:51 PM PDT by gulfcoast6
I think a lot of our priorities just got rearranged.
Well, you know what they think of women. If it had been "Joe", they would have made him a General. ;)
I think pretty much everyone in this country is going to be different because of this.
President Bush looks out the window of Air Force One inspecting damage from Hurricane Katrina while flying over New Orleans en route back to the White House, Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005.
Besides the good citizens, looters not withstanding, there goes about the only thing worth saving in New Orleans - the Quarter.
Deer in the headlights. I wonder if she has a comfy place to hang out while the city drowns, or if she has suffered a personal loss in this.
It's way to easy to be critical. She's likely a public relations assignment, and has no direct ability to cause resource delivery. This is a huge disaster. Obviously, the coordination is lacking, and the lack of coordination is not a surprize.
