I haven't read Ann's book about McCarthy yet, but a few friends have and they confirmed what I always thought about him. I never "got it" about him because it seemed to me he found a lot of spies in this country.
He was over-zealous, to be sure, but when you go up against the good old boy network who wants to sweep this stuff under the rug (ala TWA800, OKC, 9/11), you have GOT to be passionate in order for others to hear you.
"Treason" is a great book worth reading. I read it with highlighter in hand. Incredible information. Kudos to Coulter.
