Under absolutely oppressive Southern California Inland Empire August heat, the good guys showed up in force to support the President and the troops.
There were a handful of FReepers there that I recognized including bittdrvr, Blurblogger, Joy Angela, Aloha Ronnie, and RonDog. Darn, come on, who am I forgetting?
There had to be perhaps 300 there on our side, and it was refreshing to outnumber the airheads on the other side.
The anti-war, anti-American protestors, not surprisingly had their share of foul mouths and those who smelled badly when they came to our side and walked through the crowd.
It was particularly amusing to see a kid about 16 years old with a sign that said - HANDS OFF MY SOCIAL SECURITY.
They did their typical hey hey ho ho inane chants from the '60s, but they've added a few really clever ones. Over and over a guy with a bullhorn was chanting MONEY FOR JOBS, MONEY FOR FOOD, MONEY FOR JOBS, MONEY FOR FOOD, MONEY FOR SCHOOL, MONEY FOR JOBS.
The war criminal signs and no blood for oil and Bush knew are getting old. Yes, Bush knew. Bush knew what to do.
I was disappointed that I didn't have a bullhorn because the women who controlled the bullhorn on our side didn't want to use some hit 'em in the face chants --- TOJO, HITLER, MUSSOLINI, THEY WOULD LOVE YOU LEFTIST WEENIES. WHINING WEASELS GET A CLUE, THEY WOULD CUT YOUR HEADS OFF TOO.
An AP reporter and a Claremont Courier reporter did an interview with me and took notes. A local cable tv station got some stuff on film. I explained that FreeRepublic was the premier conservative activist site on the Internet. The reason I was there was to support the President and the troops. You don't support the troops if you don't support the mission.
They were also told that, if Islamists were there, they would certainly cut off my head, but they would then march across the street and cut off the leftists heads. The nitwits are clueless. In addition, I told them that from deep in the bowels of hell, Tojo, Hitler, and Mussolini were wondering where these guys were 60 years ago when they could have done them some good.
One very good note. I had a short debate with an opposition member who agreed with going into Afghanistan but not Iraq. When I told him to watch for the proof of the Iraqi connection to the OKC bombing, he made a concession. If that could be proven, he would be on our side of the street next time. I had to call Jayna Davis and pass the word to her.
It was a good, noisy, supportive crowd for the President. Now, sir, please close the borders. If he had, the crowd across the street would have been half the size.
RonDog will post photos when he can.
No pressure, Doug -- your reporting/ organizing is great. We don't need to be named. We got all the fun we needed just by greeting President Bush and seeing ALL the support he had out there.
Wasn't it cool, tho, at the end?? When the police motorcycles went over to the scuzzy hippies and started wailing their sirens. About 12 of them -- 'time to disperse.' hahaha. A lovely ending, very satisfying.
Doh. I forgot to mention that. It must have been about 10 minutes of a dozen motorcycles blasting their siren right in the faces of the lowlifes. That was excellent.
awesome! Nice to see so many counter protests to the Left/support troops/support President/support Mission rallies springing up.
Thank you both!
Sounds like they're getting better. Under libmath they'll always have a higher turnout in the MSM, but they usally inflate the leftie's numbers by ten to twenty times.
LEFTIST AIRHEADS - HEAR THEM WHINE; THEIR HEAD'S WHERE THE SUN DON'T SHINE
I think the Claremont Courier was the guy who talked to me, too. Took a picture of my LA (heart) Bush sign and then asked for my name, where I lived. I figured it was not a TV guy, not a radio guy. Larry Marino was there, too, with KRLA/870/ Talk Radio -- did you see him, interviewing away?? Good coverage.
I thot we had more people than the hippies. We had a corner park area, so people went back up the hill and filled in the corner. The hippies, I think, only had the two sides of the corner/ sidewalk? I thot we had more people.
Uh, I assume the cuffed and stuffed woman was from the other side? :o)
.
Thank You for your detailed 'Support BUSH Freep' After Action Report, doug. Freeper Republic will surely enjoy reading it.
There was great Southern California TV Coverage of our BUSH Freep Rally today on:
KCAL TV - Channel 9 Afternoon News
KCBS TV - Channel 2 Evening News
KNBC TV - Channel 4 Evening News
No TV Coverage of our side though ...only of the Anti-BUSH Crowd, even though they had thoroughly photographed interviewed us for:
Disney's
KABC TV - Channel 7 Evening News
Channel's 2, 4 & 9 did show a snearing Anti-BUSH middle aged woman being "helped" into the back of a Police Car for her blocking traffic in the street against prior Police warnings.
I am grateful for being shown yelling out my Pro-BUSH .."FREEDOM for the World".. Slogan, in typical "TITANIC" Cadence, while waving my American Flag I had draped over me.
What really impressed me the most today was the large number of pro-active young adults who were there with us demonstrating just as hard for BUSH as we have been all these years. They really do Get It, it seems..!!!
Looks like our Enemies Within push to kill FREEDOM for the Middle East now ...just like they succeeded in doing to a once Free South Vietnam during the Vietnam War decades ago...
...WILL NOT STAND this time around..!!!
.
When was the woman arrested? And they only showed the hippies?? on the news so far? Why am I surprised/?
.
The Covering TV Media are saying that our 2 competing crowds were equal in size today in Rancho Cucamonga CA.
I don't think so.
There were a LOT more Pro-BUSH folks there ...young and old alike ...standing and chanting in the heat for BUSH, than 'Anti-FREEDOM for Others' types. We even had difficulty walking around, there were so many more Patriotic folks there.
BUSH's "FREEDOM for the World" Plan is THE Answer.
.
Thanks for the report. Good show!
TOJO, HITLER, MUSSOLINI, THEY WOULD LOVE YOU LEFTIST WEENIES. WHINING WEASELS GET A CLUE, THEY WOULD CUT YOUR HEADS OFF TOO.
Would you like a bullhorn for Christmas???
KUDOS ON A GREAT FREEP!!
At least one reporter got it right . . .
PRESIDENT LEAVES INLAND EMPIRE
David Schwartz, Staff Writer
ONTARIO - President Bush flew out of the airport here this afternoon, ending a 3 1/2 hour trip to the Inland Empire to pitch his prescription drug plan.
He received a warm welcome from the invitation-only audience at the James L. Brulte Senior Center in Rancho Cucamonga, though anti-war protesters waved signs and shouted outside.
THEY WERE OUTMATCHED, THOUGH, BY PRO-BUSH SUPPORTERS ALSO DEMONSTRATING OUTSIDE.

It was just DISNEY's Los Angeles Station KABC-TV Channel 7 News that didn't cover us Pro-BUSH folks demonstrating on his behalf, even though they had interviewed and photographed us.
We Pro-BUSH Folks did get righteous TV Coverage today on KCBS-TV Channel 2 News, KCAL-TV Channel 9 News & KNBC-TV Channel 4 News in Los Angeles.
Brought back great memories of our March 23, 2003 OSCARS "GOD Bless America" Freep as my 7th Cavalry Regiment from the Vietnam War was spearheading FREEDOM's Arrival to Iraq. http://www.lzxray.com/guyer_set1.htm

Would you like a bullhorn for Christmas???
No but I happen to be acquainted with someone who does own a bullhorn.
Ping to 5toes for a great chant!
("My burqa lies over the ocean, my burqa lies over the sea....")
A few good "bullhornisms" that I've heard Freeper Fivetoes use over the years:
Serenade them with, "My burqa lies over the ocean, my burqa lies over the sea ...."
[To a woman driver who had yelled at him]: "Hey! You'll look real cute in a burqa! Of course, you won't be able to drive any more! Heh heh!"
And here's one I actually thought up myself (and felt guilty about afterwards!) One day I took my camera out and ran actoss two lanes to the median where a lot of them could easily hear me. I called out, "Excuse me! I'm writing a book called, 'The Failure of the American Education System' and I need some illustrations. Do you mind?" Then I held the camera to my eye and made sure it flashed. I called out a cheery "Thank you!!" and ran back.
But mosr of the best lines I've ever seen are in the DC chapter's Apres-Freep reports. Wish I'd written them down!
