Apparently this group didn't learn anything from the 3+ Million deaths when we pulled out of Vietnam.

Do these dolts actually believe that tyrants will not re-enact the 'Killing Fields' as we saw in Cambodia? Are they so stupid, as to believe that some unwashed Musim fundamentalist will not order the wholesale slaughter of anyone 'rumored' to have either spoken in support of Democracy, or actually participated in voting?

Yet another failure of the American Educational system. If the schools fail to teach anything else; they should cover the historical mistakes that have resulted in scores of millions of deaths of innocents.

You are so right! What logic is there to bring them home immediately. Even if I were AGAINST the war, it's just plain stupid to do this. If they want to resurrect Vietnam, that's just what they would do. We would be responsible for millions of Iraqis dying in a war between all the factions. I ask all who are against the war to think about this...letting the enemy know our timetable is stupid and disasterous to our men and women in uniform. Is that how they SUPPORT our troops? Leaving before the constitution and elections occur ensures defeat. Leaving now would ensure the millions of Iraqi civilian deaths which they supposedly want to stop.
To answer my question...they do not CARE about logic. The only conclusion that can be reached is that they WANT us to be defeated; they WANT us to have another Vietnam where we are defeated. And if the democrats insist on this course, then surely they will be defeated.

Not just the educational system. The MAIN blame must be placed on the media in this country. They truly want to re-enact Vietnam. They look back on those days as the golden age of journalism...where they had more influence than the elected officials.
