Yeah, he needs to feel a bit like he can relax while in San Diego. I hope he knows how hard we work to keep this place RED, likes being here, and will come back again. I realize CA is a tough crowd, but there are SO many of us here that appreciate his leadership, character, and administration...not to mention HIS WIFE! ;-)
Yep, I think you all should go out and celebrate together next year!
maybe we could see W and Mrs. Bush...
Wow.....we could try. I've been to DC but never in White House and I REALLY want to go into that beautiful house which is even more beautiful cause of the current residents.
(You would/will too...........don't try to deny it. ;)
The Cheneys have a few years on us.........but not as many as I thought. 29 for us. 29 GREAT years!
Was Lynn teaching or in school when they got married? August works out well for teachers. :)
You cook the apple like your making apple sauce... Strain it so it's smooth....add brown sugar or molasas and cinnamon, little clove and then bake it in the oven at 200 all day stirring so it doesn't stick to side of pan....It served as a topping (jam) on hot biscuits or pancakes.....I like it on fried mush too!
Heres one I forgot to post that was on the Department of Defense website
GUEST SPEAKER Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld addresses the crowd during the 4th Annual White House Conference on Cooperative Conservation, Aug. 29, 2005 at the Convention Center in St. Louis
Oh, absolutely! I would not have even thought to go to DC and see the WH when the previous occupants were there - ick! I might have caught something!
Remember the picture of President Bush, Laura, Condi and I think VP Cheney and Mrs. Cheney cleaning up the oval office? LOL!
"LOL! We're planning on taking lots of advantages of that fact, Deb.
(You would/will too...........don't try to deny it. ;)"
You know me too well!!!
Hubby just said..."The thing is, they're so nice, you get the impression you actually could call!" So true.
Hmmm.....handsome, intelligent, courageous men. We are so blessed.
Lynne was still at University when they married and was for a few years because she went on to get her Doctorate her subject was some form of old English poetry cannot remember details at present but I have read about it several times.
What is fried mush?

Night all!

Good night Deb
Nite Deb, thanks.
Mush is a corn cereal....letting it sit in a can it can be sliced off and fried in butter.
Thanks for great visuals and wonderful conversation, snugs and everyone!
